January 18th 2026 – “Memory Work”
This opening session introduces memory work as a precise method for measuring presence and consciousness. The class explores how clear memory marks moments when all centers were unified, while gaps reveal mechanical living, then moves into practical backward recitation exercises that expose resistance and false personality immediately. Includes discussion of self-remembering, Gurdjieff’s Aphorism 37 on economising experiences, and practical guidance on working against compulsions.
February 1st 2026 – “Memory Work, Resistance and Command”
This session deepens memory work by revealing what actually happens during practice – where attention breaks, where guessing replaces knowing, and where resistance enters. The class explores resistance as evidence of internal structure rather than personal failure, examines vanity as the hidden driver beneath most ego structures, and demonstrates the practical “memory mouthful” method with Aphorism 32. Includes discussion of the intellectual centre’s small accumulator, the three levels of memory (hoping, knowing, command), and how memory work trains attention beyond natural limits to prepare for higher centre activation.
February 15th 2026 – “Echoing at Depth”
This session extends onefold echoing into twofold and threefold practice, testing sustained attention under increasing complexity. Twofold echoing requires participants to repeat their own speech while speaking, exposing mechanical patterns, filler language, and centre interference in real time. Threefold paired work introduces shared echoing with eye contact, revealing shifts in perception and the predictability of mechanical speech. The class then experiments with a live Echo Chamber condition, where all participants silently echo selected speakers and observe the mechanical use of “I.” Discussion explores buffers, internal considering, and how exact repetition reorganises the centres through lived experience. Concludes with guidance for continued structured practice.
March 1st 2026 – “Echoing Part 2”
This session deepens echoing into structural understanding, examining what genuine listening requires and exposing the internal commentator as constant interference. Participants explore the limits of the intellectual centre’s accumulator and how sustained practice recruits additional centres, extending the internal buffer and strengthening memory as evidence of presence. The class places echoing firmly within Fourth Way work, practising in ordinary life rather than withdrawing from it. The law of three is demonstrated directly: intention as affirming force, commentator drift as denying force, and the simple return as reconciling force. Group echo chamber work makes the mechanical use of “I” immediately visible and reveals the perceptible difference between presence and its absence. Concludes with guidance for continued distributed practice in daily environments.
March 15th 2026 – “The Impartial Witness & Conscious Friction”
This session moves echoing into daily-life territory, where activations are real and the material is uncontrolled. The automation problem in echoing is examined: when the moving centre claims the practice, the form continues without substance. Three outcomes of reaction are introduced — expression, suppression, non-expression — and the distinction between suppression and non-expression is established as immediately verifiable in the body. The six-centre model places conscious friction structurally: given centres fire, acquired centres complete or hold the circuit. The three practices are sequenced developmentally — Impartial Witness as seeing, Conscious Friction as holding, Objective Sacrifice as working with significant activation. Concludes with the role of ego as lawful protective construct and guidance on working with previously accumulated material.
